Part Time Shopkeepers
We are accepting applications for part time shopkeepers at General Store. We're looking for enthusiastic applicants who are available to work up to three days a week including at least one weekend day.
We’re looking for hard working and friendly people who are as obsessed with good food and drink as we are. An eye for detail is key.
Home cooking is at the heart of everything we do at General Store and is one of the guiding motivators in deciding what we sell in store. Our shopkeepers love to cook, and they prepare lunch for each other from the shop every day.
We're inspired by food and ingredients, and view food as one of life's great joys. Our shopkeepers spend a lot of their time thinking about what they’ll cook for dinner and where they’ll eat next.
This role values a deep interest and personal culture of food and cooking over any experience in similar food retail roles. An ability to convey your love for good food combined with a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn are the key qualities of a General Store shopkeeper.
Multitasking is crucial. We believe in sharing responsibility for the running of the shop across the team and expect our shopkeepers to excel in all areas of the business. It's our aim to be the best food shop in the country.

Part time roles start at £12.50ph with paid lunch breaks. All shopkeepers receive a 40% discount in store. Shifts never finish later than 5:30pm.
